Meg Oakes
Operations Director
Meg Oakes moved to the Vineyard in the summer of 2023 and joined the MVCF family in September 2024.
Prior to working at MVCF, Meg spent over 30 years in health care, building teams that focus on quality care, patient safety, improved access to care, system improvement, and high reliability. She also has a long history of serving as a board member with small non-profit organizations, including the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center and Coro Allegro.
Meg earned a BA in Philosophy from Wellesley College, an MBA from Simmons University, and a BA and MS degrees in nursing from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Meg and her family are delighted to be on the Vineyard and part of the culture of caring that defines the community. She is excited to be learning about the Island’s impressive nonprofit community, and looks forward to bringing her operations expertise and her perspective on community wellness to her work at MVCF.
