Scholarship and Outreach Committees
Probate and Family Court appointee since 2011
Jennifer (Williamson) Marlin was born on the island and is thrilled to have had the opportunity to come back to the Vineyard to settle with her family in 1995. She and husband Howard, an Emergency Services Clinician, raised son Sam and daughter Hannah in Vineyard Haven, where they attended the public schools, and are now grown and on their own. She considers raising two grounded, thoughtful, happy children her biggest accomplishment. So much of that made possible by this community.
Jennifer’s first career was in human services, where for 11 years she ran three community residences for those with intellectual disabilities in the Boston area. Once the family relocated back to the island, she became interested in Financial Services, and worked first as an administrative assistant, working her way up to obtaining her Certified Financial Planner designation and buying a planning practice from her mentor in 2009.
Jennifer has been on several boards and committees over the past 20 years, helping with fundraising, events, and some strategic planning. Organizations she has served include: The MV Aquatic Center, MV Community Services, Edgartown Library Foundation, Tashmoo Springs Building Committee, Minnesingers Parent Group, and Relay for Life Martha’s Vineyard.
At the Endowment, Jennifer is currently concentrating her work on the Scholarship Committee. She also highly respects and enjoys her fellow board members.
When she does have some free time, Jenny enjoys traveling, cooking, dancing, shellfishing, the Arts, and time spent with friends and family. Jenny is very happy to live on the island where so many of her relatives still live, including her mother, brother, aunts and uncles, and many cousins.
