WENDY WEISMAN JENKINSON CULINARY ARTS FUND
Hugh and Suzy Weisman created this Fund in 2008 in memory of their daughter Wendy, a bright, vibrant, warm and creative woman who loved cooking, her family and her friends. Her career included stints in many Island restaurants, a degree from Le Cordon Bleu, and her own Island business, Periwinkle Catering. This Fund was established to help young Islanders find the joy in cooking that Wendy had and to give that pleasure to others.
This fund provides scholarships to graduates of accredited schools on Martha’s Vineyard who have demonstrated a passion for cooking, a good academic record and good citizenship. Applicants must be pursuing further education at a culinary school and preference is given to those showing promise as a chef.
