Emergency Response Fund receives $100,000 grant from the Barr Foundation

On Monday, April 6, 2020 The Permanent Endowment for Martha’s Vineyard  announced that its Emergency Response Fund received a gift of $100,000 from the Barr Foundation in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. The Barr Foundation is one of the largest private foundations in New England. This gift will be used to help Vineyard nonprofits.

“This is a welcome and generous gift coming at a time when the needs of Islanders and their families are growing week to week,” Emily Bramhall, the Endowment’s executive director, said in a press release.
