Our mission is to put charitable contributions to work for the people of Martha’s Vineyard by making grants that address community priorities; funding scholarships for Island students, supporting community initiatives through fiscal sponsorships, project funding, dispersing emergency response funding during extreme times of need. The Martha’s Vineyard Community Foundation together with its investment Team continuously builds and invests its endowment to provide continued resources for enhance and preserving the quality of life on the Vineyard.

The Martha’s Vineyard Community Foundation sees its future as an on-Island community leader by striving to improve the quality of life here. We have and will continue to do this by building permanent endowments, promoting effective grant-making, disbursing scholarships, issuing grants for project funding, fostering philanthropy, and helping donors achieve their charitable goals.
